But one century ago there were only few types of shoes were made by Cordwiner (now a days this word became less popular). In this post I will only discuss about few type boots that have been making since eighteen century to till now, different different basic style name.

Chelsea: A style of ankle boot which has a deep and wide elastic gusset on one or both side of the leg. They often have a loop or tab of fabric on the back of the boot, enabling the boot to be pulled on. The boot dates back to the Victorian era, when it was worn by both men and women. Chelsea boots and some of its variants were considered an iconic element of the 1960s in Britain, particularly the mod scene.

Association with the Chelsea area of London:

In the 1950s and ’60s, Chelsea boots became popular in the UK – and their association with the King’s Road (a street in Chelsea and Fulham in inner western London) set of Swinging London – worn by everyone from the Rolling Stones to Jean Shrimpton – is believed to explain how the name Chelsea became attached to the boot.

A brand new blog is coming on Chelsea Boot. Chelsea also has many other different histories.

Chukka Boot: Man’s 2 or 3 eyelet lace-up boot with a top-line lower than a normal ankle boot. It usually has a plain vamp, often cut from soft suede, and is traditionally made by the Veldtschoen constriction with a crepe sole.

The name chukka possibly comes from the game of polo, which is typically played in six periods or “chukkas”.

Interesting information is a form of chukka boots originally worn by British forces in the Western Desert Campaign of World War II are desert boots. But be sure that do not mixed up with chukka and desert boot. They are not so same.
