UK’s leading Footcare / Footwear brand is currently seeking a Store Manager to join their business and play a lead role in the ongoing success of their store in Colchester.
Established in 2006 with 80 sites nationwide offering a unique service and products that make them standout from the rest. Seeking a skilled and experienced Store Manager who can be a strong decision maker whilst have the ability to ensure the customer service received from the store is second to none.

Roles and Responsibilities

– As a Store Manager you will manage and motivate your team to increase sales and ensure efficiency

– Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control

– Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes as well as analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning and forecasting

– As the Store Manager you will be dealing with staffing issues: recruitment; conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organising training and development

– Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met

– Promoting the organisation locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general

– Organising special promotions, displays and events

– Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues

– As Store Manager you will be maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing

– As Store Manager you will initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market

To be suitable for the role you must have the below:

– The ability to lead and motivate a team with excellent communication and ‘people’ skills and a strong commitment to customer service

– The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with confidence, drive and enthusiasm

– The ability to understand and analyse sales figures and manage KPI’s

Key Accountabilities:
Business Results:

  • Take responsibility for developing and approving (sealing) products from initial tech pack through to final bulk production/buy-ready ensuring all quality, fit and price targets are achieved.
  • Work with the footwear designers to ensure the most appropriate selection of materials for each product development.
  • Assist in the product creation process by identifying opportunities for technical innovation and improvement of quality.
  • Ensure all tech packs are accurate and contain information that can be interpreted and understood by factories.
  • Take responsibility for the wear-testing of new product developments to ensure products are evaluated for fit, comfort and technical performance prior to bulk production.
